Next PTO Meeting Monday, February 1, 2010 9:30 a.m. in Room 20 Do you want to know what the Hill & Plain PTO does for your child? Then come to a meeting and find out! We would love to meet you and hope you will consider volunteering a little of your time to help make your child’s year at Hill and Plain School a memorable one! All parents who have paid PTO membership dues are eligible to vote on upcoming events. Everyone is welcome at meetings, regardless of membership status. BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 26, 2010 This will be the final collection for this school year, so let’s make it a BIG ONE! The classes from each grade who turn in the most coupons get pizza parties, and the overall top class gets an ice cream party! Please cut the coupons on the dotted lines, and place them in a sealed plastic baggie with the teacher’s name WRITTEN ON THE BAGGIE ONLY. Please indicate AM or PM Kindergarten if applicable. CHARACTER EDUCATION In February, we will be looking at the character trait "Citizenship.” The students are reminded that when they show good character, they are being good citizens. A good citizen cares for others, helps pick up litter, recycles, and is respectful. At Hill & Plain, we encourage the students to show good citizenship at school, at home, and in the community. |
2010-2011 PTO BOARD At the February meeting, nominations will be taken for the following positions for the 2010-2011 PTO Board: President Vice President Treasurer Secretary Other positions include: Hospitality, Box Tops, New Parent Liaison, Newsletter, Yearbook, Cultural Arts, Hospitality, Publicity, Fundraising, Volunteer Coordinator, Book Fair, Membership & Merchandise, Website, and Channel 17. HEARTS AND HANDS HELPING HAITI Hill & Plain School will be organizing Hearts and Hands Helping Haiti during the month of February. Please ask your child about it, and be on the lookout for further information to be sent home.
