3rd Grade: James and the Giant Peach Trip in Mid April -$1,040.00
3/6 School Store- Students in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade will be able to shop after lunch. There are many new items at the store this month! A special thank you to the 3rd grade employees, you are doing a great job!!
3/7 Read-A-Thon Pledges & Reading Logs Due- It’s time to turn in your pledge sheets and reading logs to see if we’ve made it to our goal of 25,000 books and chapters!
3/14 Read-A-Thon Celebration Assembly - We’re going to celebrate all of the hard work you’ve done over the past month! We would like you to bring your favorite (stuffed!) Reading Buddy to this assembly and wear our school colors, blue and white. Mrs. Harkin and Mrs. McKay will reveal how many chapters and books you all read and how much money you raised for your school.
3/19 Hill and Plain’s First Silent Auction -6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria-The spring fundraiser this year will be the silent auction on March 19th. Mark your calendars and bring a friend. We have been working hard since November and have collected over 100 donations from parents, teachers, local businesses, and national companies. More information will be coming home soon. There are many opportunities to get involved. Please contact Jennifer Weis 210-1749 if you are interested.
3/19 and Spring Book Fair “Road Trip”- Room 20
3/24-28 *Chairpersons: Julie Adamou and Darlene Thompson- For the kickoff night ONLY (March 19th) there will be 10% off all purchases AND with every book fair purchase that night the buyer will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a basket of goodies from the book fair! 3/31 Informational Budget Meeting- 9:30 a.m. in the Cafeteria.
Dr. JeanAnn Paddyfote will come and speak to parents about the Board of Education Budget. This is a great time to come and hear where your taxes go and ask questions about this year’s budget. All parents are invited.
